At 9am this morning, we began our #VEDay80 commemorations with the Town Crier reading the VE Day 80 Proclamation on the balcony of Lagan Valley Island The official VE Day80 flag was then raised in a poignant ceremony. The 80th anniversary was further marked by Royal British Legion Lisburn

Castle Gardens was the site of a dignified beacon lighting ceremony as Lisburn joined communities across the world to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The evening began with a parade through the city to Castle Gardens, where crowds gathered in reflection and remembrance.
