Quite the thread. Sports are probably the most meritocratic aspect of society. Viewers/spectators speak w their attention & wallet. Are things perfect for women’s sports? Of course not. But to think that society is operating on some massive gender bias is delusional.

Sure, what Ryen is saying here is true. But the NBA & its owners funded 30 yrs of losses. If you look at it as a venture capitalist, the owners took all the risk & are finally getting some payoff after 30 yrs. Players may deserve more, but "worth" is very subjective here.
