#BulkWaterProjects| Minister Pemmy Majodina will officially unveil the completed Kirkwood Bulk Water Supply Project tomorrow in Kirkwood, Eastern Cape. The project is a strategic infrastructure intervention aimed at strengthening water security in the province. @SAgovnews

The completed scope of the Kirkwood #BulkWaterProject includes the construction of a 14-million-litre raw water storage Lay Dam at the Kirkwood Water Treatment Works, along with all associated infrastructure such as inlet chambers, pipework and security fencing. Isaac Sello


#BulkWaterProjects| Through the effective implementation of the Kirkwood Bulk Water Supply Project, a total of 41 jobs were created for locals, and 10 SMMEs were appointed. The project commenced in July 2023 and was completed in March 2025. David Mahlobo Isaac Sello

Deputy Minister David Mahlobo is conducting an oversight visit at Brits Water Treatment Works (WTW) under Madibeng Local Municipality, to assess progress on the upgrading of the facility this morning.


Deputy Minister David Mahlobo is in Standerton Water Treatment Works today to monitor the progress of the refurbishment project and to hand over 12 completed Ministerial intervention sub-projects, including pump stations to Lekwa Local Municipality.
