UBC Med student Elaine Hu Elaine Hu giving us an overview of the public health & science evidence for safe supply. A recent study found that “people with opioid use disorder are 61% less likely to die after receiving safe supply only once per day.

Thank you to Parksville-Qualicum Independent MLA @AdamWalkerBC for meeting with us medical students on the topic of overcrowded ERs! We discussed the need to increase training spots for ER docs, and invest in community resources - Primary care, mental health, & long-term care!
