Very brave move, can only imagine the backlash faced in the states. Sinead O Connor would be proud of them all today ☘️🇮🇪

No life is worth more than another, we should have long since ceased diplomatic ties with Israel for the barbarism they’ve inflicted upon Gaza, but surely now, when an Irish Aid worker has been murdered by the IDF, we must now summon & expel their Ambassador to Ireland. Enough.

Several years ago while I was covering an Israeli military trade expo, a drone company representative boasted to me that their cameras can identify a Nike symbol on a shoe. Today, the Israeli terror regime wants us to believe that drone striking these clearly marked vehicles

1/6 Here's one for fellow musicians & our government. The Stunning recently sold out King John's Castle Limerick for the 2nd year running. Below is my royalty for around a months worth of airplay on Live 95 - a station owned by Rupert Murdoch's (cont'd)...

2/6 ...Wireless Group - a UK company. In Ireland they also own Cork's 96FM FM104 Dublin's Q102 Most commercial radio DJ's cannot choose what to play as the stations are heavily playlisted with mostly international artists on major labels. Did you know that the bulk of money...

3/6 ....that IMRO collects is paid to artists abroad? This is Irish money leaving the country. I'm not writing this for my benefit - airplay on RTÉ 2FM in the late 80's & 90's was crucial to us - its about the future of Irish music & doing what's right...

4/6...I sympathise with the DJ's & producers whom I know would love the freedom to play more Irish...but their Overlords think otherwise. Irish acts on major labels...Dermot Kennedy etc. will be playlisted but independent artists will struggle. It shouldn’t be like this...contd..

5/6...And why does Irish music need a special show such as 'All Irish' - Today FM 💛 Sundays 8-9am? Or 'Select Irish' on FM104 - where one Irish artist per month is chosen? Why is Irish music relegated to a separate show outside peak hours? Hmmm....contd...

6/6...Legislation to play more Irish would transform our live music scene benefitting artists & venues, creating jobs. I urge our government to take this seriously. The current situation is scandalous. Lets get on it now! Catherine Martin Eamon Ryan IMRO Sen. Róisín Garvey

heavetarf Live 95 Its an insult to all Irish artists. Commercial radio will say it's not their remit to support the Irish music industry. Many of us think otherwise. When millions in royalties are leaving the country I believe the government should act. Catherine Martin Eamon Ryan Simon Harris TD

Matt Cooper highlights the fact that Irish Banks are currently sitting on deposits worth €170 BILLION yet the government is OBSESSED with getting FOREIGN capital and FOREIGN pension funds to invest in housing instead Why not Irish Banks 🤯 🇮🇪🏡
