On Oct 25 #ufcota prof Dr. Porchia Moore presented a talk for Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh professionals DEIA speaker series. Dr. Moore's talk focused on new 21st century practices for museums + professionals focused on decolonizing futures and increasing racial literacies. 🧵 1/2.

I enjoyed meeting w/ Mayor Harvey Ward to listen to him talk about art & culture in Gainesville, and his plans to support it to cultivate our city as a cultural hub. We discussed SPARC352, community-based-and-led storytelling & art making—and imagined what the future could look like.

The Gator Marching Band (Fightin' Gator Marching Band) spent spring break in Ireland. Skies were a seasonal gray in Cork on St. Patrick's Day, but our Pride of the Sunshine brought a splash of Florida ☀️ to the Cork St. Patrick's Festival!
