Last week, Alaskan voters used a new ranked choice voting system to choose their congressperson. But it will be another week until the state tabulates the results – Center for Democracy & Technology's Will Adler on how that kind of delay can undermine trust in #elections: cdt.org/insights/ranke…

Delaying the tabulation—making it impossible to know who is leading—is a policy choice. Alaska Division of Elections says the delay is to "avoid voter confusions and increase voter confidence," which are important goals. adn.com/politics/2022/…
