Guided through the memorial’s exhibitions, members of the group were shown the causes and consequences of the Genocide against the Tutsi as well as the incredible stories of post-genocide reconstruction.

Today, the Minister of State for Youth Sandrine Umutoni had a productive conversation with a team of creative industry icons from #Nigeria.

The Celebrities led by Mr. Williams Adebola Chairperson of AWNetwork and founder of MITTA Creative Centre exchanged extensively on potential collaboration, partnerships, and how to provide capacity building to grow Rwanda’s creative sector.

An emotional and thought-provoking experience as Nigerian creative sector superstars, currently in the country, visited Kigali Genocide Memorial. "Never again should this happen anywhere in the world," shared Richard Mofe-Damijo(RMD), Actor and Executive Producer.

Earlier today, Inteko y'Umuco | Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy (RCHA) officials together with DG Anita Kayirangwa from Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement, and Mr Jackson Vugayabagabo Ag DG of Imbuto Foundation, held a roundtable discussion with Nigerian Experts in the creative economies, led by Mr Adebola Williams, the Chairman of AW Network.

They deliberated on a number of topics related to #Rwanda’s Cultural and Creative Arts Industry, ArtRwanda Ubuhanzi Programme and best practices meant to solidify creative economies.

The UN Resident Coordinator @Ozonnia met with Rwandan and Nigerian creative industry practioners, experts and policymakers. He expressed his commitment to supporting the sector in both Countries through strategic partnerships, policy advocacy, and technical assistance.

He highlighted the importance of aligning the creative industry with the Sustainable Development Goals and promoting inclusive and sustainable growth.
