Today at Uhuru Park was a deeply sad and heartbreaking day as we honored the lives of the lost souls who were true heroes of our time. They sacrificed everything, fighting for a better Kenya. Their legacy lives on in our hearts forever. Nguvu Collective

As shareholders of Toror Tea Factory prepare for the annual general meeting on 18th July, where John Chebochok’s fate will be decided, #NguvuChangeLeaders The Debra Show, 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐚©, and Josephine Mwendek urge shareholders to make a choice that champions justice and integrity.

I was a guest ICON RADIO KE in #TheBreakfastJam, in celebration of #WorldPopulationDay. Teen pregnancy is an issue that needs urgent attention and stakeholder involvement. We must address gaps in accessibility of reproductive health services and #SexEducation.

Barely 3 months after #NguvuChangeLeaders Harriet Afandi, The Debra Show & Josephine Mwendek launched Kenya's 1st report on Obstetric Violence, their efforts are transcending boundaries! They worked with Kefilwe Sibenya of Embrace, the Movement for Mothers to host a story sharing event for survivors of OBV.

A survey by Nguvu Collective on Obstetric Violence (OBV) in Kenya, which refers to various forms of mistreatment and abuse that women go through during pregnancy, childbirth & the postpartum period reveals that 46.2% of women reported having experienced OBV from nurses. But why?

2/4 The #OBVreport was compiled by Harriet 🇰🇪 Afandi, Josephine Mwendek & The Debra Show who have been at the forefront of pushing for the report’s findings & recommendations to reach the National Assembly KE and be considered in key policies

I collaborated with The Debra Show on a crucial piece addressing the urgent need to end FGM in Kenya. Our work shines a light on the rights & health of women, emphasizing the importance of collective action. Link: mountkenyatimes.co.ke/the-fight-agai… #NAYAVoices NAYA Kenya Raise Your Voice CBO

Meet #NguvuChangeLeaders from KE: The Debra Show, Josephine Mwendek, Harriet 🇰🇪 Afandi, Frida Karani & Naomy Kolian, who share their dreams for their country. We're proud to fight for the realization of these dreams, equipping women with the tools they need to lead & create lasting change.

What does it take to challenge systems & win? When Nairobi County’s draft Finance Bill 2023 proposed increasing family planning fees, The Debra Show knew it would make contraception inaccessible for women. With skills from our training, she took action before the Bill was passed!
