Im finally settling shelving (in-laws are here tomorrow!). My history section contains primarily american history & 20th century global conflict literature/primary sources, but I made it a point to start at the very, very beginning 😁 then straight into western civ.

I sometimes quickly smear on a face mask when Mister leaves the room briefly while I'm cooking dinner and it always startles him when I turn from the cooking 😅 like, full double-take every time so far. Then he objects to my "charcoal mask" being blue 😁

Were having a date night. We have spent the last several days prepping for grandparents to visit (we needed to; Im grateful for oversight 😅) & the deal tonight was we pick an expensive menu recipe thats out of my register. So, tomato & Parmesan risotto with crispy pancetta 😳

I forgot I did this 😳 my phone reminded me that a year ago, I was feeling healthy and safe for the first time in a long time so...I needed some risk 😅

I want to read one of my author-specific short story anthologies (pic 1). These differ from author-specific full work anthologies (pic 2), assorted-author short story anthologies (pic 3), and author-specific selections (pic 4). The book-nerd nuance is fun. Who you taking?

I'm still going through old boxes and getting my marital home in order and...don't most people have three rulers? Two in sleeves?

Conservatives/Republicans obviously speak out in objection when the other side is in power but...this is my entire timeline. These people are having existential crises, publicly, and feel completely righteous. Completely out of touch with reality.

Mister & I made a storage room with 2 huge wall-to-wall shelves in November. We were so happy. But Misters tech takes up a wall & its not as much storage as I thought so I bought shelves & moved pantry storage (pet stuff, cleaning supplies, etc) into another closet. Im proud 😁

Misters parents just arrived. They brought two extra suitcases. They're for me. Wedding gift. Who can guess what they're full of?

Full details and pictures tomorrow but I have a full Nancy Drew collection now 🥹 plus Hardy Boys and random assorted. Including this (pic 2). It's a 40yo odd math-ish, word problem book. Pic 4 was what I opened to first. What an odd choice in how to illustrate this concept 😅

I spent an hour unpacking the suitcases last night (wedding gifts from Misters' parents). A Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys collection, published as early as 1928 (but with most being 1940s-1950s). Currently redesigning my planned commissioned shelves ☺️
