Got 5 flash weirdos needing a home, but I don't have the mental strength to search mags. The Greek heat & fires have officially smoked my brain. In other news (not really, but anyway) new personal record yesterday: 44 degrees Celsius-111.2 Fahrenheit. Yay! Here's a selfie 😁

I wrote something that's not a rant. I wrote a story & I had not written one of those in months. I'd missed it. Rants are great, but stories are different. Well, my beta readers might not agree, but letting your imagination go loose is magic and freeing.

For some reason one of my social feeds is full of alien stories - apparently, they're coming next November & not planning to play nice. I'm already dealing with administration chaos this month (try explaining Greek documents to French people). I really don't need more crazy talk.

I visited Nafplio last March for the first time and fell in love with the place. While gazing out the window from our room, I had an idea, and scribbled a few notes. I finally wrote the story this week, and it was just accepted by the wonderful Ghost Parachute 🥰

Back to work on Laundry Day - Final edit. Prologue and chapter 1 done. Cutting off a couple of scenes made such a huge difference to the pace, and showing some more through dialogues improved the flow. 26 chapters left 😁

Wrote something last night and submitted it too soon (I will never learn/always remain an optimist at heart). Anyway, I worked on it some more—improved the rhythm, and gave it a new title—as I wait for the inevitable 'first draft' rejection 🙃
