A very big thank-you to Affinity Care Community Partnership (ACCP) for funding our room hire for the next year. We now support 12 gents every Sunday for a 2 course meal and the chance to combat loneliness and isolation. Friendships formed and grow each and every week.
Sunday Social will now be a men only group. There is a clear need for a group like this, supporting vulnerable, socially isolated gents or those living with dementia/alzhiemers. We are here to support members with such a need. Supporting Denholmes gents! denholmenhw Denholme Youth Cafe (Charity)
Genuinely a huge thank you to Jordan and Michael for transporting all our Sunday Social members too and from the youth cafe safely. All gents chuffed to get out and have a decent meal. Personally, thank you all for their hard work. Affinity Care Community Partnership (ACCP)
Our members have twisted my arm into organising them a board game Saturday session, which will run alongside our Denholme Contact Point 3rd Saturday of each month on a trial basis. If it's successful, it will continue. Another great way to combat loneliness and form friendships.
Our first games morning along side this mornings Denholme Contact Point. Chess, dominoes, cake and conversation enjoyed by all. Already looking forward to next months.
Thank you again to Helen at Affinity Care Community Partnership (ACCP) for your continued support with our group. It is really appreciated. Without this our group just wouldn't survive. So thank you. π
Today is the legendary Myles 73rd birthday and what a kind human this gent is. We celebrated his birthday with him on Sunday and we think he absolutely loved his new hat and looks rather dapper!! Happy Birthday Myles. #makingadifference Affinity Care Community Partnership (ACCP) Neighbourhood Watch Kelly Robertson
We are 2 this Sunday. Two whole years weve been supporting our members living with loneliness, social isolation or dementia. What an amazing group weve created and one we are extremely proud of. Without funding from Affinity Care Community Partnership (ACCP) and our community it wouldn't be possible.
