I'm looking to update the guidance for WinGet Configuration file naming and the default location in project source control. I'd love some input. github.com/microsoft/wing…

Sixels in the latest stable version of Windows Terminal adds a bit more joy for WinGet. Just modify your WinGet settings with: "visual": { "progressBar": "sixel", "enableSixels": true }

Reunited with the Windows Terminal devs and we're cooking up something new. Here's a sneak peek of installing a winget package through a new utility coming soon to PowerToys: P.S. this is live working code, courtesy of Mike Griese 😉

Which version of Windows are you using? It should be pre-installed on Windows 11 and Windows Server 2025. It might need to be updated, but you can also use Repair-WinGetPackage manager from the Microsoft.WinGet.Client PowerShell module for bootstrapping.

We've gotten a few reports of the .Net Tutorial's WinGet Configuration failing. I'd absolutely love it if someone could help us find what's breaking. I haven't been able to reproduce this one. dotnet.microsoft.com/learn/dotnet/h…
