Ms Batten's form with their 'book in a box' for World Book Day (Thursday), what a superb creation!

This week our Year 8s are doing block coding during their ICT lesson. Students worked in pairs providing some incredible ideas for new applications. They also started creating a simple application and soon they will be sharing the link to their application with their parents.

This week's House Week is themed around Resilience. 6th Formers have been presenting assemblies to all students during the week, promoting the importance of having a growth mindset and overcoming adversity.

Year 11s in the lab learning about metal ions and conducting the flame test to prove the presence of certain elements. They thoroughly enjoyed the lesson. Well done to all.

Year 11 taking part in a study skills session this week, learning different techniques to help them revise leading up to their exams.

A group of our Sixth Form students were invited to LHR Terminal 3 to look at how a complex engineering project (the upgrade of the security lanes) is carried out safely in an area still open to the public. Thank you Mace for the opportunity, our students had a great time

This week, the whole of Year 12 attended a UCAS Discovery event. Here the students were able to explore and speak with hundreds of universities. It gave them a fantastic opportunity to develop more understanding of their post 18 pathway. #developingfutureethicalleaders

It was our pleasure this morning to welcome back alumnus Manav to Desborough College, to present to our sixthform about university life, how to revise effectively but also keep yourself healthy. Manav is currently at University of Nottingham studying Economics.

Year 7 Cricket Team beat St Bernard's Grammar School by 6 wickets on 2nd May 2024 Josh Chan top scored with 43 runs (not out) and Stan Doran took 2 wickets. Well done to the whole team who now move into round 2 of the Cup!

Last week we said goodbye to a very important part of our community - our year 13 and year 11 groups. We wish them all the best as they continue their journey to becoming our ethical future leaders of society, we are very proud of you all.

Maidenhead school students awarded Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards. This month, three students from Desborough College—Luke Arnold, Will Mackay, and Luke Maury—were awarded their Gold Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards at the prestigious Buckingham Palace Garden ceremony.

During our Year 10 field trips this week, we measured beach morphology and sediment characteristics using quantitative methods and recorded coastal landforms using qualitative methods. This hands-on experience helped the Year 10 geographers to understand how coastal processes.
