It's our hope that before long, humanists will be allowed to speak on BBC Radio 4's Thought for the Day. It's not a radical request. In fact, it's already happening in Northern Ireland. BBC Radio Ulster has featured humanists on its Thought For the Day slot since 2021.

What is the point of creating more capacity in the NHS, 7,000 more beds, without putting more money in to social care? 12,000 people currently stuck in hospital ready to leave. Why can't the government grasp this simple fact???
