A6 Re: tech workers. So sad, appalling, I have no words. We need to take time to ask people how they really are. We need to be honest when people ask us too. I’ve struggled recently. We need to be kinder to each other and to #SlowDown. We can only change things together #AXSCHAT

A6.1 (cheating) I think we need a global movement to #SlowDown and change the pace. Just because we can go faster, should we? Who really benefits? Who wins? We need a much more considered approach about what we need and when. We’ve done it with plastic bags. #SlowDown #AXSChat

A1 Business Disability Forum Business Disability Forum describes ourselves as working at the intersection of business, government and disabled people. It’s vital all our work inc policy, research and advice is informed by the views of disabled people from our members and our team #AXSChat

A2 At our global conf LaMondre said “if we are not at the table we are on the menu”. We need to come together & our voices to be heard. We also need to see senior leaders in business sharing a disability or health condition and actively, visibly championing inclusion #AXSChat

A3 We need to nurture multi-generational workforces and a future of work that works for all. Gains in ways of working during Covid19 must not be lost. Disabled people must be involved in designing future places, policies and processes so they are fit for purpose for all #AXSChat

A4 This is a big philosophical debate! Should we expect corporations to provide e.g. healthcare when the state cannot or does not? What about smaller employers who don’t have the resources? We need a mature approach where business, government & B2B groups work together #AXSChat

A5 Disability is part of the human condition. It can and will affect all of us. Accessibility and representation are necessities, not nice to have. We have to keep the conversation on the table – we are talent and we are a significant market that must not be overlooked #AXSChat

A6 We want to get to a place where we are all valued as unique humans. Identity and language play a big part. There is more that unites than divides us. People may have more than one condition. And if you experience barriers then you have more in common than you don’t #AXSChat
