Not that anyone might be having a rough week this week… here’s a great conversation between Van Jones & Dan Harris about how to keep your center & your love & your values, even in the face of disagreement or hostility (vanjones.substack.com). #Writer #WeeklyInspo #MentalHealth

I don’t remember where I heard or invented it, but I started saying, “Think about the cave…” to others & it seemed to help. Here’s how, in my new Psychology Today post. Thanks for reading, & I’d love to know your thoughts! loom.ly/Mgw-3q8 #Writer #PsychologyToday #Wellness

I would consider myself a lifelong learner: First, as a student. Then later, as a practitioner. Eventually, as a mother, & again as a mother to a child with high-needs autism. Now, as a retiree, writer, & a woman in her mid-sixties, I continue to learn every day ❤️

I’ve been starting my mornings with a 10-minute meditation, & here’s what I’ve found: 🔹 My day automatically starts calmer (who wouldn't want that!) 🔹 I’m not so quick to judge others 🔹 I’m more open to gratitude & creativity! Have you ever tried meditation?

Human bodies need light to calibrate circadian rhythms, experience proper sleep, & absorb vitamin D for bones & mood. While light therapy doesn’t offer vitamin D, it helps a host of other woes. Spring is coming.... We got this!! 🤩🌷 psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/the-…

There is no shame in OCD. Or any other mental health disorder, for that matter, but there is power in understanding what is going on within ourselves and one another ❤️🙇‍♀️ In my latest article, I share my personal story with OCD: psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/the-…

Regular breaks allow the brain to reset, reducing cumulative stress & improving mental clarity: ✅ Take a 5-min walk, do 10 deep breathes, try stretching ❌ Mindless scrolling is NOT a real reset. Your brain wasn’t designed to go nonstop. We all need brain breaks!🧠
