We celebrated Brittany Trang's successful Ph.D. defense! Brittany developed a PFAS degradation method and studied the mechanism. Not only a talented scientist, Brittany is also an incredible science communicator. She will join STAT later this month as a science journalist.

We also celebrated Luke Skala for successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis on using macrocyclic host-guest chemistry to create materials with emergent properties. Luke is a creative scientist and inspiring leader, and will head to Johns Hopkins APL next. Luke, we will miss you!
