Exciting (& shocking) new discovery! During routine cleaning, our curatorial team discovered a fake Dickensian beard! We have since been able to confirm its authenticity, as belonging to Charles Dickens. This suggests that the author's iconic beard was not grown naturally. 🤔

Have you booked tickets for our upcoming performance, 'Killing Dickens?' Expect an ethereal, gothic atmosphere — unsettling, theatrical, and powerfully human. And if you're going to watch a spooky show, its got to be Friday 13th, right? dickensmuseum.com/blogs/all-even…

Today is the opening of the brand new exhibition at the Charles Dickens Museum - “Showtime!” It explores the enduring appeal of Dickens’s writing, the many adaptations for stage & screen, as well as his own love for the theatre & acting. Yesterday was press day.
