MRS Bulletin "Materials News" podcast: mrsbulletin.buzzsprout.com/244633/1559360… Grateful that they highlighted Meixiang's amazing work making polymers that are glassy despite having 60% liquid (gel-like).

So many issues with university rankings. Just ask Malcolm Gladwell: pushkin.fm/podcasts/revis… With that caveat, happy to share good news about NC State. news.ncsu.edu/2024/09/nc-sta…

Congrats to PhD student Zach Park for being selected for the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research program. This support will allow him to spend time at Oak Ridge National Lab to study liquid metals.

Years ago, we discovered that applying +V to liquid metal lowers the tension in electrolyte. youtube.com/watch?v=mB2ZqO… It has taken us ten years to figure out "how", as published in ACS Electrochemistry. Congrats to the authors! pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…
