Goal line fades on 3rd and 2 from the 2 are certainly a choice that can be made... Very uninspired start for the Ohio State offense.

Max Klare is on the board as a Buckeye. Julian Sayin scrambles to keep the play alive and finds him in the back of the end zone for a 16-yard TD. Ohio State needed that with another scoring drive about to stall. The lead is 13-0 with 2:29 left in the half.

Ohio State has outgained Ohio, 279-28, but only has a 13-3 lead heading into halftime thanks to a messy offensive performance.

So....if this messaging is indeed how the Ohio State running backs room operates...Bo Jackson should see 15-20 carries a game moving forward, right?

Ryan Day on Bo Jackson and the big-play potential he brings to the Ohio State offense. He said they’re still trying to figure out the rhythm of having three running backs getting carries.

We have a kickoff time for Ohio State/Washington next weekend. The Buckeyes and Huskies will kick at 3:30 EST, 12:30 PST for those making the trip to Seattle. CBS will have the broadcast. Should be a great day for B1G football, with the OSU game leading into Oregon/Penn State.

We'll speak with Ryan Day at the top of the hour to recap Ohio State's win over Ohio and look ahead to what the Buckeyes hope to accomplish during the bye week. We'll also get Brian Hartline and Matt Patricia afterward.

Ryan Day on Tywone Malone, who started over Eddrick Houston in Ohio State's win over Ohio: "I thought Tywone took a step in the game, thought he played well ... He did some nice things in the game. I think he graded out (a champion)."

Ryan Day on Bo Jackson: "It doesn't take a veteran coaching staff to recognize talent when you see it, and Bo has talent ... You can see his vision, his ability to catch the ball. He has a lot of skills, and the more he can take on, the more we're going to give him."

Matt Patricia said the play of Kayden McDonald has allowed the Ohio State defense to do more and play wider because of the space he's eating up in the middle. He noted Will Smith Jr., Malone, and Houston have all done well, but K-Mac is just ahead of everyone else in the room.

Ohio State DC Matt Patricia on true freshman Devin Sanchez and the role he’s carved out immediately in his first year as a Buckeye:

Matt Patricia said Washington QB Demond Williams Jr., who Ohio State will face next week, reminds him of Kyler Murray with the way he’s able to get to top-end speed in one step. He said facing Navarro last week was good to see a QB who is dangerous on the ground.

Ohio State OC Brian Hartline said Brandon Inniss has done well in whatever's been asked of him. "He's a guy who, whatever his job description is, he'll do it at a high level," he said.

Brian Hartline on his memories of playing at Washington in 2007. He said the Ohio State offense will prepare as if it won’t be able to hear, given the environment in Husky Stadium, which he called among the best out west.

Ohio State OC Brian Hartline said he's "very happy" with his depth at WR and needs to do a better job of finding more opportunities during games to play more guys.
