I was very honored to receive the Missouri Parks and Recreation Public Officials Award for 2025.

The term "hero" is thrown around a lot but here are 2 true heroes. These two voluntarily put their lives in danger by going onto a frozen pond to save a boy, who they did not know, who had fallen through the ice. Their bravery and quick thinking saved a life that day.
