🧵 Peacekeepers from ~50 countries continue supporting local communities in south Lebanon. While our core duty is peacekeeping, we also provide support on the ground: medical care, school repair, road reopening, and unexploded weapons clearance — improving safety and mobility.

One of UNIFIL’s key roles is to act as a liaison between the parties. We maintain direct lines of communication with both sides of the Blue Line – 24/7. This ongoing coordination helps prevent misunderstandings, reduce tensions, and de-escalate incidents before they worsen.
