Specifically, you have to have a degree from a CACREP-accredited program to work at the VA, with the Army, and to get the TriCare credential. Hope those vets are ready to check their privilege in therapy. Maybe their PTSD is due to being oppressors.

This is by design. To work at the VA, therapists must come from programs that require diversity, equity, and inclusion infused throughout the training. Part of that is learning a gender-affirming care model therapy, aka malpractice.

I think it's horrible for our armed forces. IIRC, this is the result of one of Biden's EOs. Which means Donald J. Trump could quickly fix it if there was a way to get him the message.

It already looks bad. A couple of other things psychology used to have a clinical consensus on - lobotomies and eugenics. This is why American Psychological Association psychology doesn’t get taken seriously as a science. Low/no standards for evidence and no humility.
