We had an amazing time at the Building Bridges Celebration Event at Elsecar Heritage Centre on Wednesday. The evening was highlighted by impressive exhibition boards and stunning light projections. It was truly a memorable night and an incredible experience.

Apparently today is #NationalRoastDinnerDay Back in 1944, during the war, King George VI & Queen Elizabeth came to Elsecar Heritage Centre to meet miners & their families. They were treated to a full Roast Beef dinner at Elsecar Main pit canteen.

At Barnsley Museums we always try to give a voice to those who aren't often heard and with Arthur Godfrey and The Barnsley Carol we have done that, with a carol that had been lost for 90 years Watch our new video which has an intro from Ian McMillan youtu.be/AbwZC3T-XWs
