I spent time in Barlinnie prison as a 15yr old child, and then Longriggend YOI schoolboys unit before being moved to the notorious Kerlaw secure establishment. This legislation means traumatised children will not be further traumatised in settings never fit to meet their needs.

My wee sister buried her best friend today. My heart was broken for her. She loved wee Lynne without measure or regret. My sister made it out addiction. She never left her friend behind, even asking her to be bridesmaid at her wedding despite her addiction. Thats my family ❤️‍🩹
