Yesterday our Smash Bros. team drove over to Hastings College to play both the Hastings Esports and Wayne State College Esports in-person for the NECC! We lost the first set to Wayne 7-12 and 9-12. But the Tigers bounced back and won against Hastings 12-10 and 12-5! GG's NE friends!

Overwatch defeated Concordia tonight 3-0, securing a spot in the playoffs next week!

Our Overwatch squad kicked off the NECC Playoffs last night with a 3-0 sweep over the #2 seed Indiana Hoosiers Cream! They advance to the semifinal round and will face Wayne State College Esports next week (date TBD).

Our playoff run ended in the semis last night as Overwatch fell to Wayne State College Esports 1-3. GG's to the Wildcats!

Our Overwatch team has qualified for the NECC Division 6 National Tournament! Our first match is the Round of 16 against Nichols College on Sunday night at 7.

Unfortunately, our Overwatch season ended last night with a loss to Nichols College 0-3 in the NECC National Tournament Round of 16. 4 out of our 5 starters were first-years, a very impressive accomplishment for those students. The future looks bright for Doane Overwatch!

As we wrap up the 24-25 season, we wanted to highlight our MVP this year: Caleb Panning, a first-year Super Smash Bros. player from Wilber, NE! Caleb had 107 of our 238 knockouts this season, which is a stellar 45% contribution for a four-person team. Congratulations Caleb!
