It was an honor to meet the WHO African Region Regional Director-Elect Dr.Faustine Ndugulile Faustine Ndugulile during the 2nd day of #THS2024 Dr.Ndugulile’s stand on evidence-based medicine inspires me. You can read an article I wrote about him HERE: medium.com/@xchsdpfcc/the… #DaktariMwandishi

I cannot end my week & my highlights of the 11th Tanzania Health Summit #THS2024 held in #Zanzibar, #Tanzania without talking about my interaction with Faustine Ndugulile the recently elected Regional Director for WHO African Region - someone I consider a role model in the #health sector.

It was really an honor to meet and interact with our new WHO Afro Regional Director elect, Dr Faustine Ndugulile during the Tanzania Health Summit. We are so greatful for him attending our Amref Tanzania forum and sharing his insight on climate change impact on health

The sudden, recent death of our friend and colleague Aidan, former World Health Organization (WHO) Polio Eradication Director, is still very difficult for all of us. He has led and championed such important work. To build on Aiden’s legacy, World Health Organization (WHO) is looking for someone to take over the work to help us

During my visit to #Rwanda 🇷🇼 I was struck by the bravery & resilience of health workers, many of whom are survivors of the #Marburg outbreak. Robust action by the government from the highest level, while working closely with World Health Organization (WHO) & partners, is effectively driving the response.

Congratulations to you my brother Hans Kluge on this significant endorsement from the WHO/Europe member states. This is a recognition of the outstanding work you did during your first five years. I wish you all the best in your upcoming term.

In Tanzania this week for the launch of Universal Health and Preparedness Review (#UHPR), a whole of government & society approach to bolster emergency readiness & response & build resilient health systems. At Gavi we will always be proud of our partnership with World Health Organization (WHO), and we join the #G20 in calling for a strong and fully funded WHO. Together we can make the world a healthier, safer place:

Pleased to join Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa Tanzania's PM & the government today to launch the Universal Health Preparedness Review. This milestone reflects the country's commitment to protect the health of its people & contribute to the health security of Africa & the global community.

Had a very good conversation with my sister, President Samia Suluhu, about #Tanzania’s progress towards universal health coverage and strengthening primary health care across the country. World Health Organization (WHO) will continue to support Tanzania so that it achieves #HealthForAll. #G20
