Gragossian: started a group of docs with solid organ transplants, now they have over 70 members. #SCCM2024 #PedsICU particularly nice to have a group of other women

I don't know who the tall blond kid in the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club was, but he checked people in his way as he walked down the aisle at the #InaugurationDay without regrets. Not disrespectfully- they were clearly in his way. But that's a level of confidence worth watching.

I tried to get AI to write a summary of 2 books I'm reading to learn the endings. It gave me multiple INCORRECT details for both. I really don't think we're at the point where we should allow AI to prescribe anything. It would probably just make up doses.

"Safe" with regards to medication does not mean "100% without side effects or issues". Placebo has harmful effects. I've seen toxicity from water. It's about individualizing medication use, dosing, and monitoring.

Comments that H5N1 isn't real makes my head hurt. There are 18 different H's & 11 N's. When 2 different strains infect a host at the same time, they can get mixed up and put together an H and N that have never paired before. Its called "bird" because H5N1 1st emerged in a bird.

This morning, we had the honor of leading a SCCM initiative to merge critical care & geriatrics in the Aging Sensitivity in Critical Care program for students and trainees. I think it's been one of the most fun things I've done with SCCM. #sccm #sccm2025 #criticalcare
