Lots of smoke on satellite this evening in Canada as dozens of wildfires burn out of control, particularly in Alberta where pyrocumulus clouds can be seen. Around 17,000 people are under evacuations in Manitoba and a 30 day provincial emergency has been declared in Saskatchewan.

How will Ramahoza react to the world if 500 000 minority South Africans end up fleeing South Africa? Will Ramaphoza call 500 000 minority South Africans 'cowards'. I think the anc's days are numbered.

Visible satellite loop showing LOTS of smoke from the Canadian wildfires blowing down into the United States tonight. So far this year Saskatchewan and Manitoba have had the most extensive fires with 1.5 million acres burned, which is roughly the size of Delaware.

Why all of the smoke/haze in the air right now? Over 180 active wildfires are burning in Canada, half of which are classified as out of control. The upper air pattern has brought it back into the USA. It’s clearly visible on satellite imagery today. 5/31/25

Sounds like crews will be pulled from multiple regions. PNW IMT, some overhead, and a tanker. Headed to Alberta and Manitoba. Sounds like passports will be required.

Up to 150 personnel have been requested to head up to Canada from the United States in the first order. Looking like a PNW team, some overhead, aviation, and 5 crews. Sounds like crews will be grabbed from multiple regions. Another request beyond this order has gone in as well.
