there will be a lot of takes about how Zohran Kwame Mamdani’s digital strategy helped him win, but any that don’t mention his actual policies (and how clear and resonant they were to the average voter) would be wrong. social tells a story, but the story has to be good to begin with.

Enjoying wearing my most cardamom-forward fragrance today because if I am going to do one thing it is being a weirdo who commits to the bit in a way that only I get.

This interview is really, really worth your time. "Obviously, I got in the race because I wanted to be mayor and thought I could do the best job. But what has happened to spark a more hopeful and optimistic politics has made me even more optimistic about the future of our city."

Just realized how much better this is going to feel in November, when it's not only set in stone without all the what ifs, but also it'll (please) be under 70 degrees, and thus I am corporeally able to experience joy.

Generational change is coming: Since Zohran Mamdani won on Tuesday night, more than 1100 young people have reached out to Run for Something to explore a run for local office -- one of our biggest spikes of the year yet.

Another reason to resent and rebuke AI (and there are SO MANY of them) is that I can't be a hater on main anymore about how frustrating it is to have sit down and write, in order to have something written. I am forced to defend my greatest hater. This is some BULLSHIT.

After that miserable heat wave, tonight’s cool walk home + residual election joy feels SO GOOD. I’m “girl who is going to be ok”-ing a little too hard. I’m scaring the hoes.

We should be blaming OG Radiolab for a lot more stuff. I loved it at the time, I'll cop to it, but it normalized a really terrifying view of technology that glorified innovation and discussed ethics in a breezy philosophical way, not "JESUS CHRIST HOW DO WE PROTECT PEOPLE?"

Please god let wearing HOKAs become seen as fashionable. I’ll still do it regardless, because I walk at least 10 miles a day and I prefer that to be as pain-free as possible, but I love style so much and I always feel like I’m letting the look down.
