Got to say hello and chat with Frank Caliendo before his show last night at the Improv here in Brookfield, Wisconsin. It was an awesome show before a packed house. People should follow Patrick Keane, who did a great job opening for Frank.

I know the Colorado Rockies have a terrible record, but firing Bud Black in my opinion is not the answer. What could he do with the players he had, they couldn’t even go get players from the minor leagues because they are doing just as bad too.

I was only a teammate of Dave Parker for one year, but he was the funniest teammate I ever had. I know he is cracking everybody up in Heaven. He is a Hall of Famer. RIP

Q: Who was the winning pitcher in the first game played at SkyDome? A: Don August, the starter for the Brewers in their 5-3 win over the Jays. August also pitched for the Vancouver Canadians, London Tigers and Calgary Cannons. He turns 62 today. Happy Birthday! Don August

I want to once again thank the Village of Menomonee Falls for having my annual birthday parade and fireworks show! And thanks to the 1,000’s of people who showed up again filling up Appleton Avenue. Great show!

What a great first game back for Brandon Woodruff, couldn’t be happier for him after the last 2 years of injuries! Velo was solid, mixed all of his pitches, and his location was on point. Can’t wait to see what he does for the Brewers the last half of the season

This is a book not a pack of baseball cards. I just finished reading The Wax Pack by Brad Balukjian. It’s about how he opened a pack of 1986 baseball cards from 30 years ago and decides to track down the players and tell a story. The book has a story within the story.

I’m just wondering what people are thinking about last night’s All Star game? It ended in a tie, so they went to a home run derby to decide the winner. What are your thoughts on this format? Let me know.

10 wins in a row for the Brewers, momentarily tied for the best record in all of the MLB. No question they do something by the trade deadline, the question is do they go in big? What do you think?

I think we need to add a power hitter. It’s tough to score runs in the playoffs because you’re going against the best teams best pitchers, hard to string hits, you need to get the instant runs especially if runners are on base.

I was just thinking about how successful the Milwaukee Brewers have been for the last 8-9 years and it’s pretty damn remarkable that they’ve only played in 1 meaningless game (eliminated from the postseason) since 2017. Who else can say that besides the Dodgers?

Great job by Brewers pitcher Quinn Priester. I love it when I see a starting pitcher going deep into a game nowadays, a solid 7 innings pitched!
