It's back-to-school! Kids and parents are everywhere, doing last-minute shopping. I overheard one dad say, "Go ahead and get that shirt, but you know Mom doesn’t like it!” It wasn't me, however, after asking, I bought Kyler, some cologne. Happy school shopping!

Charlie Kirk's tragic murder deeply saddens me. Reflecting on our last meeting in Colorado, we spoke freely and passionately about issues impacting the Cadet Wing. My heartfelt condolences go to Erika and his children. We must work towards a future free from political violence.

What a game! Kyler, my youngest, played his first eighth-grade football game. Although I missed his two touchdowns, I made it in from D.C. for the 4th quarter, and I’m so proud of him and this amazing Ram team!

Any changes to congressional maps must prioritize the voices of the people and fair representation rather than extreme partisan objectives.

It’s Parents’ Day! I often miss my son’s football games, but I walked him onto the field for his last middle school home game. Just to be clear, if there were a vote to reopen the government, I would head to D.C. For now, I feel I’m exactly where I need to be. #GoRams! 🐏🇺🇸

Families across eNC are struggling and feel that Washington, D.C., is broken. I understand these concerns all too well. As we look at new congressional districts, I am considering every option, drawing on my local roots, experience in the military, and commitment to education.
