Twitter is depressing this morning. I'm watching video after video of people - mostly students - demonstrate for a legitimate cause - Palestinian safety & self-determination - by enthusiastically advocating for violence against Jewish people. It feels helpless, hopeless, & scary.

In all political movements, there comes a time when the good faith actors in it must reckon with the extremes in the movement who undermine it: Netanyahu & the settlers, Trump & the Proud Boys, & now university students boosted by their professors calling for the harming of Jews.
