Jodey’s benefits were stopped abruptly after she failed to attend an in-person Work Capability Assessment. She was suffering from serious physical and mental health issues, including barely being able to walk more than a few steps, and tried to appeal the DWP’s decision to no

Exciting update! 🚆💙 Disability on Rails is on track for launch in 2026. I recently helped Anna Landre ♿️ plan her accessible train trip to Berlin 🇩🇪. It wasn’t easy, but we made it work — and that’s exactly why this project matters. #AccessibleTravel #DisabilityOnRails

Hey NORTHERN 🚆 You told me last night the rail replacement today would be accessible, but it was not and you turned away accessible vehicles. What the hell?

Hey London Northwestern Railway Why did you put a band in the wheelchair space in your promotional video? Are you intent on promoting and advertising abuse of it from the start? What sort of message does that give? instagram.com/reel/DKxDPyQiG…

It’s really good to see that the Transport committee is persistent when it comes to accessibility. Warm words don’t deliver.

This is not in fact correct. ORR process is that assistance redress complaints are sent to the train operator, who coordinates or passes on the complaint response duty as required. CrossCountry Trains take note.

In March, the Government spoke of its "unwavering commitment to improving rail accessibility". Their response to the Transport Committee 'Access Denied' report indicates otherwise. Yet again, the "Victorian infrastructure" excuse is rolled out and no mention of "Appendix B"... 1/3.

...a benchmark for inaction. Yet again, rail accessibility funding is being kicked down the road, with no mention of rail accessibility infrastructure funding in the June Spending Review. committees.parliament.uk/committee/153/… 2/3

A complete culture change towards rail accessibility (what Keir Starmer called a basic right in Sep 2024) is needed. And still we wait for a decision on stations such as #Leagrave which were awarded funding in May last year... 3/3 gov.uk/government/pub…

Met a 7 year old wheelchair using boy on the train home. He was amazing (and loved my Triride). I meet so many disabled children on their way from hospital on this train and it’s so refreshing sometimes. There’s a confident generation of disabled people growing up. If we don’t

(1/2) With a heavy heart, I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as a whip. Whilst I will continue to support the government in delivering the change the country so desperately needs, I cannot vote in favour of the proposed reforms to disability benefits.

(1/2) I’m not opposed to the principle of assisted dying. But until the vast majority of disabled people support the legislation, I cannot support it. Let’s fix our NHS, social care and wider society first, and then consider this topic again when the time is right.

Just to be clear PIP is not an out of work benefit. It is fundamental to understand the absolute basics when we reform the welfare system

Creating a two-tier Pip and UC system where new claimants get less than existing ones is a political concession, but not a moral one And if it was a multinational company doing this on pay, Labour MPs would be up in arms Not good enough
