GPs are spending time in almost every consult talking about COVID-19 vaccines. GPs & PNs, tell policy advisors and researchers how COVID-19 vaccine counselling is impacting your day-to-day in this survey: Survey link: surveymonkey.com/r/BKB7BTH?part…

We believe that primary care research must remain a priority area for MRFF funding and that funding allocated to this area should be significantly increased. #MRFFconsultation #ourprimarycare

When health experts announced that the majority of patients in hospital are unvaccinated — but not all — some wrongly felt this supported the theory that vaccination wasn’t effective. Actually, it once again shows how INCREDIBLY EFFECTIVE vaccines are. It’s all about proportions.

Aust GP Supervisors have high rates (70%) of burnout. We need to recognize and support these leaders who are vital to any long term GP workforce solution. Simply increasing clinical placements without appropriately resourcing them will not help @RMA22, AAAPC School of Medicine and Psychology

#RMA22. Great advocacy for rural & remote workforce. Let us not forget there are gradients in disadvantage other than geographical ones. Let’s unite over the need for incentives for workforce to serve high needs, underserved populations wherever they are - some are urban. #AAAPC

Research by GPs for GP patients - a critical part of the Danish health care system’s success. Well funded and well supported by the Danish University health sector and national funding. Could we do that here please??? #GPConnect #AAAPC #Pracnet #ANUMS

PracNet explored why patients attend afterhours appointments. Perceived need was high among ED, CALMS and WIC patients; but GP patients preferred afterhours for convenience. Read more here: doi.org/10.1071/PY22087

Data disproves the myth that many people attending emergency rooms should have been seen by GPs. The actual reasons are much more complex insightplus.mja.com.au/2023/29/ed-dat…
