When fighting wildfires, it’s all about waterā€¦šŸ’¦ šŸ”„ But how do Water Bombers carry the water and drop it onto the fire? šŸ‘‡šŸ¼

Instead of a train or people mover between terminals, Calgary Airport uses chauffeured carts. The shuttles seat up to 10 passengers, are Canadian-made and are wheelchair accessible! What do we think? šŸ‘šŸ¼ or šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼

The cable cars of San Francisco are the last of their kind in the world. A constantly moving cable under the streets allows the manually operated cars to latch on and off, moving them up the hills and stopping when they need to. An incredible system that still operates.

Without the cable under the street, the San Francisco Canle cars would just be normal streetcars, but without the ability to go up steep hills… It’s incredible that they still operate in the city today.

The oldest continuously operated streetcar line in America is in New Orleans. They haven’t flashed it up. The cars are dark green, used by locals and goes almost unnoticed… unless you know. And now YOU do!

So much to do in New Orleans, but here is my recommendation… make sure to ride a piece of history. New Orleans has the oldest continuously operating streetcars in America. šŸš‹

We have come up with some interesting solutions to some unique transportation problems over the years, but I think the efficiency and simplicity of a funicular make them my favourite.

Palm Springs has a little twist to the classic aerial tram… in fact, it’s the world’s largest twisting aerial tram šŸ˜‰

I’m riding in a blimp from Boston to New York City to float around the Statue of Liberty šŸ—½ The flight SHOULD take 7 hours (depending on headwinds) and there is no toilet onboard. Wish me luck! I’m going to explain as much as I can along the way. Buckle up!

TIL that a blimp is always floating. It’s not like a hot air balloon… the helium stays inside the bag and keeps the blimp afloat constantly.

Known as one of America’s monumental flights, floating in a blimp alongside Manhattan towards the Statue of Liberty was as good as expected.

Did you know that a blimp is constantly floating? So, when it’s landing, there is a ground crew of about 14 people that grab ropes on the blimp to hold it down, so it doesn’t bounce and float away again.

It was a true pleasure to join Michael Downie and Gareth James (and Ed!) for this narrowboating adventure, featuring an epic flight of locks, superb weather, great food/company, and a monumental jump fail... youtube.com/watch?v=LHm4yf…
