Practical Life Skills in Montessori at DMA -Tongs & Tweezers: Precise movements and improving hand-eye coordination. -Tossing: Practice focus and coordination! -Sponge Pouring: Enhancing fine motor control. -Lacing Frame: Building patience while mastering a new skill.

In our PLCs, we’re focused on Montessori lessons bridged with the District Curriculum. By collaborating, rehearsing, and giving feedback to our team, we ensure that our students receive strong first instruction—the foundation for their success. 💡

Visited Downtown Montessori at Ida B. Wells Academy and saw a clear trend of effective small group instruction across lower and upper classrooms! Data-driven instruction, teacher modeling, student engagement, and students demonstrating mastery while showing their work! We’re well on our way to be an A by May!
