On my way to work this morning and someone is honking at me like a maniac. I tried ignoring it at first, but it got so intense I just had to look and I’m so happy that I did! Turns out it was a former student from a few years ago trying to get my attention! Made my day 🥹🩵

Last Wednesday, I presented my research on translanguaging and cognates at the New Visions High School District Lead ENL PLC in a round table! It was a great experience talking to other educators in my district, discussing best practices to help our EML students!

Over the summer, I worked with Office of Multilingual Learners creating scaffolds for the New Visions for Public Schools Earth & Space Science High School Curriculum. Yesterday, my partner, Sasha Williams and I presented our scaffolds to educators across NYC who are implementing this new curriculum!
