Spent some time yesterday clearing out some old boxes. It’s amazing how many papers, books, presentations, and exams senior doctors have read or completed during training. If only I could remember it all. Now getting information online, it is not so obvious Association of Cancer Physicians Royal College of Physicians

We don’t take climate seriously and pay lip service to recycling. Not looking good for our children. We do amazing science but fail on the basics bbc.com/news/articles/…

Approx 29k resident doctors applied for 9k training posts this year. They're not "choosing" to forgo specialist training, GMC, they're being forced out of it by the decision to artificially suppress numbers of doctor training posts, even though we're so short of consultants.

The whole point of GMC is to keep patients safe from harm. But what if, like OFWAT & OFCOM, it’s turning into another politically-neutered, failing regulator? I cannot stand silently by as GMC fails patients in the PA debacle. Here’s why 👇 app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/68829/co…

Patients and families need to be very careful where they get their information. A lot of people are getting rich on the back of heath fads, misunderstood science, and poorly evidenced advice. Balanced diet and exercise is obviously valuable, and cheap! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

BIG NEWS. An overall survival improvement is an important justification for treatment intensification. Look forward to seeing the data. OncoAlert

Another sad situation in the NHS. Problems allowed to fester rather than being addressed podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/fil…

Agree. Simplistic views of technology as an answer to all the NHS challenges are wide of the mark. They are merely tools to improve efficiency and safety but need to be utilised appropriately and with expert guidance

That sound you can hear is the collective anguished cry of NHS trust finance directors who haven't yet cleaned the blood off the carpet from last year.

Great session. Incredible progress has been made. As usual the lack of functional, integrated IT systems is a barrier to efficient working in the NHS. #BTOG25 NHS England Things improving but still a lot to do

Great to be in Newcastle for British Sarcoma Group annual conference. Already a brilliant session on fibromatosis, and now onto angiosarcoma. Potentially practice changing information. #BSGUK2025

Dismayed to see you sharing such a misleading & potentially deeply frightening video, Kim. If someone is in 'unspeakable pain' at the end of life, they should see a palliative care doctor like me - & I can promise you there is always something I can do for your pain. (1/n)
