Today, UNFPA🇷🇼 and partners SFH Rwanda,UNCDF 🇷🇼, I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc., Sida, GouvernementLU, Swiss Development and Cooperation, and Norad, visited Kagasa Second Generation Health Post in Bugesera.


Always a privilege for UNFPA Rwanda to partner with the Ministry of ICT for greater and timely development impact. Many thanks to Hon. Minister Paula Ingabire for her visionary leadership that is helping to mainstream ICT into the core of SHRH programs for all.

UNFPA🇷🇼 Representative Dr. O. Adelakin and the UAE Ambassador in Rwanda H.E. Hazza AlQahtani had a courtesy call on March 11, 2025. Their discussions focused on collaborative strategies for strengthening Universal Health Coverage and reducing maternal mortality rate in Rwanda.



It was a privilege to join parliamentarians Rwanda Parliament earlier today to discuss the population & development focus of NST2 & the role of parliamentarians in the acceleration of improvements in maternal & child health indices towards Vision 2050 & d SDGs UNFPA Rwanda



Today, Min. UTUMATWISHIMA, Ms. Shaima Hussein, Dr. O. Adelakin, and Elodie Shami chaired the Joint Youth Programme Steering Committee Meeting that focused on the key achievements of the programme (2019-2024), recommendations, and the way forward for the programme in the next 5 years.

Today, Dr. O. Adelakin , UNFPA🇷🇼 Representative officially handed over maternal health lifesaving equipment to Ministry of Health | Rwanda , including 317 Non-Pneumatic antishock garment (NASG), 2000 Uterine Balloon Tamponade(UBT) kits, and 11 Patient monitors.



Today, the UNFPA🇷🇼 Representative,Dr. O. Adelakin paid a courtesy visit to the High Commissioner of India🇮🇳 to #Rwanda ,Mridupawan Das to discuss ongoing collaboration in strengthening Rwanda's maternal healthcare initiatives.

Today, Rep. Dr. O. Adelakin paid a courtesy visit to the Mme. LIN Hang, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of Chinese Embassy in Rwanda. They discussed initiatives to curb maternal mortality in Rwanda & collaboration opportunities through the China Development and South-South & Triangular Cooperation Fund.
