Excited to share the first published study from my dissertation work which found that higher prenatal organophosphate ester (OPE) metabolite mixtures were associated with earlier GA at birth in the MADRES Center for Environmental Health Disparities cohort! #EnvironmentalResearch #OPEs sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Attending ADA scientific sessions #ADA2023 and want to know when the pregnancy presentations are happening? The American Diabetes Association - DiabetesPro Pregnancy and Reproductive Health Interest Group has you covered. QR code links to the pregnancy schedule! #ADAPREG

Sylvia Badon at #SPER2023 shared our team’s research findings of associations between racial residential segregation and worse prenatal mental health for Black individuals, but better mental health for Asian/Pacific Islander and Hispanic individuals. Kaiser Permanente Research NorCal

Dr. Lyndsay Avalos, PhD, MPH presenting Kaiser Permanente Research NorCal data on prenatal cannabis exposure and neonatal outcomes at #SPER2023

Alicia Peterson, PhD presented her research findings at #SPER2023 demonstrating an increased risk of GDM with prenatal PFAS exposure within Kaiser Permanente Research NorCal.

Congrats to Monique Hedderson Monique Hedderson, PhD on Mentoring Award from Society for Pediatric & Perinatal Epidemiology Society for Pediatric & Perinatal Epi Research. She leads our awesome women's/children's health section, many at #SPER2023: Assiamira Ferrara, Lyndsay Avalos, PhD, MPH Yeyi Zhu Sylvia Badon Rana Chehab Alicia Peterson, PhD

Yeyi Zhu Yeyi Zhu research scientist Kaiser Permanente Research NorCal presented at #ADA2023 Saturday on using #machinelearning to identify subtypes of #gestationaldiabetes using 45 data points from the #EHR Abstract: bit.ly/3qV8v5D KPNorthernCal Alicia Peterson, PhD Rana Chehab

An honor to speak in the #ISES2023 symposium on #OPE and #PFAS analyses in ECHO Child Health Research chaired by Dr. Lesliam Quirós-Alcalá, PhD, MSc and Dr. Debbie Bennett. Fellow speakers: Dr. Ixel Hernandez-Castro, Dr. Jennifer Ames, Dr. Jiwon Oh, Dr. Paty Cintora, & 𝘋𝘳. 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘉 (bsky: drcatherineb)

Sharing results from Kaiser Permanente Research NorCal where we found that #prenatal exposure to #PFHxS was consistently inversely associated with #birthweight and #weight at 2 yrs of age with longitudinal growth trajectories underway. Thanks for chairing a great session Tamarra James-Todd! #ISEE2023

One of my dissertation studies is now on Environmental Health! We found evidence of adverse impacts from prenatal organophosphate ester exposures on neurobehavioral outcomes at 36-months of age among the MADRES Center for Environmental Health Disparities cohort. link.springer.com/article/10.118…

I think the first annual Women and Children’s Health section Kaiser Permanente Research NorCal academic writing retreat was a success. The perfect combination of productively and team building in a beautiful setting @ The Lodge at Bodega Bay.

Exciting news! We have a new #multidisciplinary #postdoc #fellowship led by Lyndsay Avalos, PhD, MPH and Paola Gilsanz focused on #epi #intervention, #healthcare evaluation & improvement research within KPNorthernCal's integrated health care delivery system. More: ibit.ly/WHPPR

Excited to share a recently published study from my dissertation! We found evidence of adverse effects of prenatal OPE exposures on infant motor development among the MADRES Center for Environmental Health Disparities cohort! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Thanks very much! Honored to get here with my amazing team, former and current mentees, and incredible colleagues and friends.. USC Spatial Sciences USC Enviro Health Keck School of Medicine of USC

Research Fellow Alicia Peterson Alicia Peterson, PhD presented her work on in-utero exposure to organophosphate esters and factors such as birthweight and maternal gestational diabetes. At #SPER2024

New research from Ixel Hernandez-Castro shows that lower levels of an essential metal mixture is associated with increased odds of #preeclampsia. Higher levels of blood #copper played a significant protective role in this relationship in a prospective cohort study. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Our research fellow Alicia Peterson Alicia Peterson, PhD presented her work on #prenatal organophosphate esters #OPE exposure and birth outcomes within the #PETALS cohort at #ISEE2024 in Santiago, Chile.

#ECHOChildHealth Cohort Research led by Dr. Assiamira Ferrara & Alicia Peterson, PhD found that exposure to DBUP/DIBP or BDCPP—organophosphate esters (OPEs) found in flame retardants & plastics—during #pregnancy may be linked to childhood #obesity risk: bit.ly/3CbAvaZ
