This is abhorrent. I see that Tempest Photography have posted an apology but turned the comments off. The school also has questions to answer here. It’s 2024 and disabled children (and adults) are still treated like second class citizens. When will it change? #discrimination

Powerful piece by Frances Ryan for The Guardian about the exclusion of disabled children from school photos. #Ableism is desperately rife and its impact far reaching.

It’s another day and Conservatives continue to vilify disabled people - please see facts about #PIP below. I can’t wait until this awful government is voted out.

Another brilliant on point article by Frances Ryan. Just sad it has to be written at all… #PIP #Disability ‘UK ministers want to fob off disabled people with vouchers? It’s like government by Groupon’ | Frances Ryan theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

At Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for some treatment and very pleased to bump into my Moorfields surgeon Mr Daniel Ezra (one of the best and most human, down to earth surgeons I’ve ever met and I’m rather the #NHS veteran…). Hope we can engage in some #PPI #PatientInvolvement work soon!

Thank you @torisprung Liverpool John Moores University for inviting me to speak about #PPI #PublicInvolvement & #Inclusion from my ‘multiple hat’ wearing perspective (professional & service user)! Lovely to meet you and your colleagues 😊

Fantastic to speak at Face Equality International Forum about working with Experts by Experience. Chuffed to be reunited with my fellow multiple hat wearers Kenny Ardouin & Danielle McWilliams! #HatsOnTour #FaceEquality

Just landed in sunny Exeter and looking forward to NIHR Involvement University of Exeter summer school starting tomorrow! Always so much to learn and share in #PublicInvolvement #PPI

Why is it important to involve Experts by Experience (EbyE) in craniofacial research? Would you like to know when, why & how to involve EbyE? Find out more in this CPCJ article! Dr Amanda Bates Kenny Ardouin Danielle McWilliams #cleft #research #involve journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/10…

New podcast episode! 'Should the Public Have a Say in Your Research? A Conversation with Dr Amanda Bates.' Huge thanks to the 'Stupid Genius' podcast hosts Emily Wharton & Mollie Bryde Listen here Expert PhD Advice for Every PhD Student (stupidgeniuspod.co.uk) #PPI #Research

.Liz Kendall The Labour Party WHY do you refer to #PIP as an out of work benefit? IT ISN’T. People can claim PIP WHEN THEY WORK. This benefit can help people STAY IN WORK. This isn’t about getting disabled people working, it’s about saving money by targeting vulnerable people. #Shame
