Had a fabulous two days at Newcastle Upon Tyne ENT Speech and Language Voice Conference and learned so much about shared clinical decision-making (and injecting a pig larynx!). Also had the opportunity to share our laryngeal #ultrasound project.

Know the signs of mouth cancer. We’ve partnered with @Asda to put cancer awareness messaging on oral hygiene products. These labels encourage people to contact their GP or dental practice if they spot potential symptoms of mouth cancer. nhs.uk/conditions/mou…

Well done in speaking out on this issue. However you can add loss of speech to the neglected disabilities. The more prevalent voice recognition systems become the more difficult it can become for members of the laryngectomee community
