I’ve written a blog piece about life history interviewing and its use in our project to record the oral history narratives of Britain’s nuclear test veterans. ntvhistory.uk/blog/life-hist…

Hoping my grandad, who was sent to Christmas Island in 1958 and witnessed five atomic tests, would be proud of me this evening. I never met him, but I do it all for him and his memory. #britainsatomicscandal

Dr Chris Hill Chris Hill writes for The Conversation on the impact of nuclear tests on the childhood of Teeua and Teraabo, two sisters from the Pacific island of Kiritimati theconversation.com/our-nuclear-ch…

Over the past 18 months, I’ve been able to interview two sisters, now living on opposite sides of the world, about their childhood memories of British and American nuclear tests on their home island of Kiritimati (Christmas Island). This is their story. Thanks Teeua and Terri.

As the Commonwealth gathers in Samoa for #CHOGM2024, this story by Chris Hill is a stark reminder of the legacies of Britain’s nuclear colonialism in Kiribati…

The story of two islanders still feeling the consequences of Britain's nuclear weapons testing. Good piece by Chris Hill in The Conversation: theconversation.com/our-nuclear-ch…

What a privilege it's been to help collect the life stories of Britain's remaining nuclear test veterans. The archive will create a lasting legacy for veterans and their families.

Yesterday University of South Wales welcomed LABRATS International and Dai Scourfield to talk to our history students. We spoke about state manipulation of archival records relating to #nukedblood and the use of experimental vaccines in the First Gulf War. A huge thank you to both speakers!

Pleased to contribute to this forthcoming volume on the coloniality of mineralogical museums. My chapter explores how uranium mineral objects from the Namib inspired conflicting dreams of a nuclear future. shorturl.at/4cGI7
