Thanks to Clare Haughey MSP for raising the inclusion health and general practice programme in the Scottish Parliament. This project in Greater Glasgow & Clyde shows the positive health equity impact general practice can drive when supported to do so.

Fantastic to have members join us online and in person in Edinburgh for the first meeting of the 72nd RCGP Scottish Council. We also welcome Dr Stuart Shand to Council as a newly elected ballot member.

Last Friday I attended a wonderful ceremony in Edinburgh to become a Fellow of Royal College of General Practitioners. It was very moving to hear the stories of the many new Members and Fellows who were recognised, to hear what they had overcome, their aspirations and enthusiasm for the specialty. Thank you
