Indeed, the Inh. to Ex. Neuron marker expression ratio increased after GC eposure. We confirmed an increase in GAD1 expression after GC exposure in an IHC validation. (4/N)

We identified 15 TFs that had an aligned DE and lineage driving effect for Inh. Neurons. PBX3 was the most specific for the Inh. Neuron lin. of the TFs regulated alongside their know targets. Multimodal GRN inference (Pando) showed strong DE signal downstream of PBX3 (red). (5/N)

Fantastic preprint out from the great lab of Natalie Matosin led by the very talented Dominic Kaul. Congrats to all the authors for this beautiful work. A great read for anyone interested in glial biology and the role these fascinating cells play in stress.

🧠Using #organoids (pictured below), Leander, Binder Lab, Cristiana Cruceanu's lab and Fabian Theis' lab found that #glucocorticoids, often prescribed before premature delivery, alter the neuronal balance in the developing brain. 📰Read more: psych.mpg.de/2943345/news_p…
