Today we marked another milestone in Africa’s malaria fight as DRC introduced a World Health Organization (WHO)-recommended #malaria vaccine! A total of 15 countries are now offering malaria vaccination, widening access to more comprehensive malaria prevention for young children. Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance U.S. President's Malaria Initiative (PMI)

Today Sudan became the 1st country in WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean and 16th in Africa to roll out the malaria vaccine! Sudan recently joined 10 other African countries in pledging that “no one should die from malaria.” Today’s news brings us closer to our shared vision of a malaria-free Africa.
