🚨Open #postdoc position! Join me and Johan Lundberg @lundberglab.bsky.social at Karolinska Institutet @StratNeuro on a exciting collaborative project to study the molecular mechanisms behind the antidepressant effects of psychedelic compounds. Apply here: ki.varbi.com/what:job/jobID… Please RT 🙌

Especially happy that this one is out! #QTL mapping in #placenta across #gestation, spear-headed by now Dr. Linda Dieckmann, together with Marius Lahti-Pulkkinen and Katri Räikkönen from University of Helsinki, Cristiana Cruceanu and Binder Lab cell.com/hgg-advances/f…

🧐 Roughly every third patient with #depression has elevated #inflammation levels. But how are the two connected? 📰 Jonas Hagenberg, @JanineArloth and their team explore this question in their recently published paper. Check out our press release here: psych.mpg.de/2926723/news_p…

🧐 Researchers from the @JanineArloth lab and Binder Lab investigated the molecular response to glucocorticoid receptor (GR) activation, and identified key combinations of SNPs, CpGs, and transcripts (GR-response trios) that influence this response: tiny.cc/j8ruzz

New paper by Vera Karlbauer and Binder Lab: Cell type composition and prenatal exposure to🍷🚬 and #glucocorticoids are main drivers of salivary #FKBP5 DNA methylation and explain more variance than childhood maltreatment or psychopathology in a cohort of young children.

🔔 New preprint 🔔 We show our previously reported heightened FKBP5 gene expression in psychiatric disorders and with age are likely to be moderated by epigenetic mechanisms. Great work by katrinaedmond and Dominic Kaul with our collaborators @binder_lab + Lieber Institute

I will be speaking today at the 22nd Annual Neurotech Convention in LA! One presentation about Multi-OMICS and Executive Function, one on #ConLiGen and PSY-PGx WorldBrainMapping Prof. Thomas G. Schulze 🎗INDEPENDENT Libertarian Roos Van Westrhenen Global Alliance of Mental Illness Advocacy Network

By investigating the effect of glucocorticoid exposure on brain development in human neural organoids, researchers find that chronic exposure was associated with lasting cell type–specific changes that included autism risk genes. scim.ag/4bsJGBr Science Advances

The Binder Lab translational genomics team & friends in the Eagle Pub in Cambridge where Watson & Crick announced in 1953 they (and Rosalind Franklin) had "discovered the secret of life". We are now looking forward to the #Epigenomics25 conference - see you there!
