I completed a BSc in Tropical Diseases in 2017. Worked as a medical secretary. Went to medical school in 2019, and had to get the top 5% in an entrance exam to even get an interview. I start work in July. I’m £90,000 in debt. Do I deserve to start on £14 p/h? To be paid less

DDRB quote of day: "doctors ..should not be treated as an exception..when this is not happening in other groups" I AGREE 👏 DDRB #shouldhavegonetoSpecSavers👓➡️wouldnt be in this mess with 7.5 MILLION W/L(highest ever & rising)if we were "other groups"👇 vs #JustAnotherPaycut

This may be unpopular with some but. Please don’t contact your GP re test results that were ordered in hospital by your consultant . It is their responsibility to let you know the results not the GPs. This helps avoid frustration for everyone. 🙏

1/ I'm very pleased by this outcome for Ms Perry's family & other headteachers, but I'm also totally perplexed. How has just one known teacher suicide resulted in a change of approach by Ofsted, yet healthcare professionals going through #FitnessToPractise theguardian.com/education/2024…

Junior doctors’ pay disputes can and should be avoided. What is not affordable is a demoralised workforce able to deploy its skills elsewhere. The next government must re-examine the remit and workings of the DDRB. theguardian.com/society/2024/j…

“NHS is broken” rhetoric makes those of us on the front line feel completely disheartened and devalued. My corner of the NHS is not broken. As I’ve said before, the NHS is not one blob but a patchwork, many sections of which are saving lives and helping people every minute.
